What do all these beauties have in common? You guessed it! All natural brunettes with a gorgeous head of beachy highlights... Beautiful balayage and ombre highlights!
As you may know, I recently embarked on a hair mission. I wanted to get back to a more natural color because well... brassy hot roots and damaged bleached blonde hair just never looks natural, especially on this Mexican. How did that hot mess even come about for goodness sakes!? Let me tell you.
Once upon a time I had lovely golden blonde highlights blended into my dark brown hair. But after awhile blonderexia set in, oh yes... Blonderexia! Some of you may know what I'm talking about here. I became addicted to blonde. I kept adding more and more highlights, they got lighter and lighter and before I knew it, I no longer had highlights. Instead, the entire top portion of my hair was almost solid bleached blonde. It wasn't pretty, shiny or flattering anymore. It was dry, damaged and washed-out my complexion. Somewhere along the way I missed the beachy bus and ended up on the trashy train.
So after that realization, I began browsing the internet for a new look. I knew the direction I wanted to go and I wanted to slip into a low maintenance look right away, where my roots could start growing out in peace. These girls and the work of their amazing hair colorists are my inspiration. So I'm sharing what inspires me in case any of you beautiful people are in search of some beachy brunette inspiration as well.
